I am incredibly passionate about empowerment and self-advocacy during this journey into or through motherhood.
I have been a masters level occupational therapist for over a decade and I have worked in a variety of settings in the medical model. I have seen firsthand how care can change if we ask questions and become an active participant in our care- it's your body and your experience after all! I am on a mission to offer education, empowerment, and guidance to women so they can reconnect with their intuition and their bodies to get what they need for their healing journey from pre-conception throughout life .
As a trauma-sensitive therapist, I have helped people find their inner strength and resilience. The body is a closed system and all systems are related; from your jaw clenching to your incontinence.
My approach is that of thorough listening, lifestyle assessment, mindset work, and gentle manual guidance of the body rooted in what the person before me is saying (we often have the answers to our own healing we just need to be asked the right questions). I use what evidence is available and keep in mind that we have yet to research everything.
